THE OUTCOME

110' x 19' Mural in downtown Ogallala, NE

THE IMPACT

The KCAD mural showcases a couple main themes important to the history and people of Ogallala including: the city's roots in agriculture, fishing, and being designated as the "cowboy capital". The bright, colorful, and larger-than-life sized fish design was made to invite to kids, families, locals, and newcomers to imagine an exciting narrative about the town. The mural is a window into the humble western cowboy culture found in Keith County while celebrating Lake McConaughy's fruitful recreational tourism from travelers near and far. Ogallala and Keith County have much to offer and the mural shows off the vibrant community as this is no ordinary town.
