Exploration of the human impact on species, specifically the threats on umbrellabirds. All found in South America, two of the three beautiful species are considered vulnerable. The main threats are habitat loss from the agricultural industry and from gold mining.

If we all take a couple steps back to:

⚖️ recognize our role in the over production of palm oil, timber, beef, cocoa, etc and uplift regulatory organizations like The Accountability Framework that keep large companies from deforesting more land that is essential to a healthy environment

🥩 reduce our impact on the environment by finding a more sustainable diet that doesn't rely on constantly deforesting to raise livestock (ie not eating meat as often or omit altogether)

🛑 help stop logging by contributing to the Center for Tropical Research which conserves the forests of Ecuador, which is home to hundreds of species.
