Rainforest Treasure

This illustration was made in order to educate and raise awareness of our impact on the indigenous species that live in the Amazon Rainforest. The Amazon Rainforest contributes to 20% of the world's oxygen and is an extremely important ecosystem to thousands of species. The indigenous tribes of this area have become the spokespeople of all of the creatures found in the most important ecosystem on our planet, therefore 20% of the proceeds will support The Amazon Frontlines and preventing harm against the forest we all depend on. https://www.amazonfrontlines.org/donate/ This series showcases the beauty of the indigenous tribes of people and animals that call the Amazon their home. The Amazonian Squirrel Monkey, for example, is one of 10 million species of animals, plants, and insects found in the Amazon rainforest. This creature is threatened by the lack of food caused by deforestation along with the mistreatment when captured and put into the exotic pet market. The squirrel monkey is an icon for the Amazon and adds to the ethical concerns of what our impact is on the rainforest.
