Personal Project - 2016

This project was a sentimental one for me and for my dad. I really wanted to capture this precious memory that meant a lot to us so getting this as real as I could was my goal. Working on toned paper helped me create depth with just a bit of charcoal and highlight. Skin texture was easily achieved with a textured paper and a subtle touch of conte crayon for the reddish hue which symbolized summer and a day on the beach with my number one supporter.
