The main focus on this piece was hand lettering a quote that has gotten me through the toughest times. A bright and friendly color palette that reminds me of Spring and new beginnings was appropriate for this motivational quote. In order to create a message that is easy to read and consistent, I integrated the letters into one another to form a set of shapes that fit together like a puzzle. To create variety and interest, I also used a combination of curved and straight baselines that contoured the overall shape of the piece. The swooping lines outline and bring emphasis to the quote while giving it a bit of action as if it were animated and full of life.
